It’s vital time for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to start their e-Invoice journey! They need to determine whether to utilize the Myinvois Portal or accounting software for e-Invoice submission. MSMEs with annual revenues between RM500,000 and RM25,000,000 will enter Phase 3 on July 1, 2025. Many MSMEs have yet to digitize their invoicing processes and express concerns regarding their unfamiliarity with the system. They worried that stepping into the digital invoicing era might lead to compliance issues and potential penalties in the future.

The Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) has rolled out three types of e-Invoice submissions: i.e. transactional e-Invoice, consolidated e-Invoice, and self-billed e-Invoice. However, MSMEs are still scratching their heads about which type of e-Invoice to submit in different scenarios, especially since the whole process is done through a system.
